The Sochi Airport

Sochi's international airport is ranked 7th largest in Russia by passenger flow. The airport provides services to as many as 37 airlines that operate regular and chartered flights to 66 domestic and international destinations. The airport is capable of sustaining a passenger flow of 1600 passengers per hour. A new terminal covering 60 thousand square meters was opened here in June 2010. The second construction line of the terminal is to be finished by 2012. The terminal's projected passenger flow capacity is 2500 passengers an hour. The new terminal will use cutting-edge technology to achieve smooth and quick passenger service. A full range of facilities for incapacitated passengers will be installed by 2012.

Railway
Adler to Esto-Sadok

2014 will see comfortable Desiro express trains, capable of accelerating to 160 kmh, running from the Black Sea shore to Krasnaya Polyana. The Adler – Esto-Sadok train will take 27 minutes to travel a from one station to the other. The railway will be capable of transporting up to 8,500 passengers per hour. The road running from Adler to Esto-Sadok will transport up to 11,500 of people per hour.

The Adler – Esto-Sadok road can be developed into a highway running alongside the railway tracks, mainly on the left bank of the Mzymta river. The road is 48 kilometers long. It is fitted into the mountainous landscape by means of ramps, levees and 6 tunnels with an overall length of 26 kilometers.

Commutation within the city

City 540 is located 1.5 kilometers away from the Esto-Sadok Railway Station. The city is easy to reach via a relief road. Cities 960 and 540 are linked by cableway.

Buses will run from the railway station to City 540 along a backup road. A parking lot and a bus hub will be built at the entrance into City 540 with enough space for 17 buses.

The Adler – Alpika Service main road will have a 1,934-meter long relief road.
  • The relief road will help reduce the number of diversions from the main road, thus helping improve road safety
  • The road is linked to the main road to the city’s road system make for easy commutation; direct access to an 800-car parking garage
  • The relief road is connected to the city’s ring road system, allowing for one-way movement in certain sections.

Parking facilities

The city’s parking system is made up of 3 parking lots located in standalone 2 and 3 storey buildings in the city center. There are 294 parking spots in the city in total, including 16 bus parking spots. Houses in the low-rise zone of the Media Village will have their own garages and guest parking in the front. Total capacity – 283 car parking spots.
